Ayyamali reunited with his family after 2 years
On April 19, 2024, the Snehalaya team rescued a 50-year-old individual named Ayyamali Selvam Manikandan, who was found wandering near Wenlock Government Hospital in Mangalore. He was subsequently admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for Men under the guidance of Bro. Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, for proper care and treatment.
After receiving essential care and treatment at Snehalaya, the team successfully traced his address and contacted his family. On May 5, 2024, his son Adhi traveled all the way from Tamil Nadu to take his father back home. Bro. Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, greeted them and wished them all the best for their future. According to his son, Ayyamali was suffering from mental illness and had been missing for the past two years. The family searched for him in nearby states and had lodged a police complaint. His son was very happy to take his father back home and thanked Snehalaya for their selfless service.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 19.04.2024ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡದವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವೆನ್ಲಾಕ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಬಳಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಅಯ್ಯಮಾಲಿ ಸೆಲ್ವಂ ಮಣಿಕಂದನ್ ಎಂಬ ಐವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆದ ನಂತರ ತಂಡವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವರ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿತು. ಮೇ 5, 2024 ರಂದು, ಅವರ ಮಗ ಆದಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನಿಂದ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದರು.ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅಯ್ಯಮಾಲಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಆತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಡುಕಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ದೂರು ಕೂಡ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆದು ಮಗನಿಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
