Emotional reunion of Kusum with her family at Uttar Pradesh

On October 19, 2023, Mrs. Olivia Crasta, the trustee and Secretary of Snehalaya, along with her team, rescued a woman named Kusum, approximately 45 years old, from the streets near Surathkal. The lady was suffering from mental illness, and she was admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women for further care and treatment. After receiving essential care and treatment at Snehalaya, her condition improved, and she was transferred to Shraddha Mumbai for further reunion process. On April 6, 2024, Kusum was successfully reunited with her sister-in-law and nephew at Jaunpur of Uttarpradesh. Family and villagers responded very positively. She had been missing for six months. Kusum had a history of mental illness spanning 16 years. Her family and villagers were elated to see her back. According to her family, she had been suffering from mental illness for the past 16 years. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards both Snehalaya and Shraddha centers for their selfless service.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 19.10.2023ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗು ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತಂಡದವರು ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಬಳಿಯ ಬೀದಿಯಿಂದ ಕುಸುಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 45 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ ಕುಸುಮ್ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಆರೈಕೆ ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಳು. ಆಕೆಯ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರೀಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಕುಸುಮ್ ಮನೆಯ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 06.04.2024 ರಂದು ಉತ್ತರಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಜಾನ್‌ಪುರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು.6ತಿಂಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಕುಸುಮನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ಹಾಗು ಊರವರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಕಳೆದ ಸುಮಾರು 16 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ ಕುಸುಮ್ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ಈ ಪುಣ್ಯಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
