Kunja reunited with his family at Sulliya after six years.
On November 27, 2017, a person named Kunja, who was wandering the streets near Puttur Bus Stand, was rescued and admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men by a well-wisher of Snehalaya. At the time of admission, he was suffering from gangrene in his leg and was experiencing old age-related problems. After receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya, his condition improved.
On February 7, 2024, he was reunited with his family in Sullia Taluk of Dakshina Kannada. The family was overjoyed to see him after 6 years of separation. They expressed their gratitude to Snehalaya Centre for taking care of him over the past years and for facilitating their reunion.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 27.11.2017ರಂದು ಪುತ್ತೂರಿನ ಬಸ್ಸು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಬಳಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಕುಂಜ ಎಂಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಹಿತೈಷಿಯೊರ್ವರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೆಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಗ್ಯಾಂಗ್ರೀನ್ ಆಗಿ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕುಂಜ, ವೃದ್ಧಾಪ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಂದ ಸಹ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 07.02.2024ರಂದು ಸುಳ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಆತನ ತಮ್ಮನ ಮಗ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆದು ತುಂಬಾ ಖುಷಿ ಪಟ್ಟನು. ಆರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಕುಂಜನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಕಣ್ಣಿರಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
