Yes on the streets of KALASA, Chick Mangalore on the thorny streets, a rose was found in the form of PALANI. On 19^th March 2021, he was rescued with the support of local leaders, media personnel and Snehalaya team. He was mentally ill, creating lot of disturbance sitting right in the center of the road. He was rescued and drove him all the way to Snehalaya and now sheltered & treated at Snehalaya. He was frightening the public, creating fear among the people and was moving between the heavy traffic and the crowd in the market place.

Under the guidance of Mr. Manjunatha, a member of the Samse Gram Panchayat, the local JC president, along with few journalists and local friends, took initiative to rescue Palaniunder the guidance of the officials of Snehalaya charitable organization Mangalore. The Youth of Kalasa exhibited their real humanitarian heart to save the victim and bring him to the mainstream.

The person was found in shabbily dressed attire, plenty of coins in his bags. He was stinking as he was roads for several years with psychiatrist disorder, unshaved for years was rescued through a brisk action. Palani, is from Tamil Nadu. Now he is responding well to the treatment. And Snehalaya is proud to pick him, the rose, from the thorny challenges.
