On April 30, 2024, Mr. Jovial Crasta, the trustee of Snehalaya, rescued a person named Dil Lagan (20) who was wandering on the National Highway near Hosabettu Surathkal, as per the information provided by Mr. Kiran Karkala, a social worker and well-wisher of Snehalaya. Dil Lagan has been admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for men. He suffers from mental illness and has a habit of consuming tobacco.
