Snehalaya provides shelter to Shakunthala and Partha Sarathi, who were rescued from the streets of Mangalore.
On April 28, 2024, Sarita Crasta, the trustee of Snehalaya, along with the Snehalaya team, rescued two destitute individuals from the streets of Mangalore near Wenlock Hospital. Among them, the team rescued Shakunthala, approximately 59 years old, who is suffering from mental illness and exhibits aggressive behavior. She speaks Kannada and claims to be from Karwar, Karnataka.
Additionally, the team rescued a person named Partha Saarathi, who was found sleeping on the footpath near Milagres Church in Mangalore. This individual is suffering from mental depression and claims to be from Tamil Nadu. He speaks Tamil and English and has a habit of alcohol consumption.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 28.04.2024ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಸರಿತಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡದವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬೀದಿಯಿಂದ ಇಬ್ಬರು ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಮೊದಲು ತಂಡವು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ತಾಜ್ ಮಹಲ್ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಶಕುಂತಲಾ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 59 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಖಿನ್ನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಮಹಿಳೆಯು ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಊರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕಾರವಾರವೆನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.ನಂತರ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಇಗರ್ಜಿ ಬಳಿಯ ಫೂಟ್ ಪಾತ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ ಪಾರ್ಥ ಸಾರಥಿ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 50 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು. ಈ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಖಿನ್ನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಈತ ತಮಿಳು ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಊರು ತಮಿಳುನಾಡು ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.ಇವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾರಿಗಾದರು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿ ವಿನಂತಿ 9446547033 / 7994087033.
