Vilas Reunited with Family at Maharastra
On August 17, 2023, Vilas, a destitute man aged approximately 38, was rescued from the streets of Madanthyar, Mangalore, and promptly admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre for men by Mr. Stephan Monteiro. Vilas, exhibiting signs of poor self-care and wearing shabby attire, was found wandering aimlessly, clearly indicating a mentally fragile state.
Undergoing excellent care and treatment at Snehalaya, Vilas participated in various activities and counseling sessions, leading to a significant improvement in his condition. Subsequently, he began sharing information about his whereabouts. To facilitate the reunion process, Vilas was then sent to Shraddha Mumbai.
On October 24, 2023, Vilas was joyfully reunited with his family in Solapur, Maharashtra. His wife, overwhelmed with happiness, warmly received him. According to the family, Vilas had been missing for the past five months, having run away from home, prompting them to file a complaint with the local police.
Expressing their gratitude, the family thanked the Snehalaya and Shraddha teams for their selfless service in reuniting Vilas with his family.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 17/08/2023 ರಂದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಡಂತ್ಯಾರಿನ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ವಿಲಾಸ್ ಎಂಬ 38ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಮೊಂತೆರೊರವರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆತ ಉತ್ತಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರೈಕೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣವಾದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂತು ಅಂತೆಯೆ ಆಪ್ತಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 24/10/2023 ರಂದು ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಸೋಲಾಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ವಿಲಾಸ್ ಕಳೆದ 5 ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಓಡಿ ಹೊಗಿದ್ದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಹುಡುಕಿದರು ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಶ್ರದ್ದಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
