The modern generation has everything they want at their fingertips. The culture itself is fast-forwarded. In the whole race, the elders of our families are neglected and thrown out as materialistic things are more worthy to them than human beings. Many families force the elders to spend the remaining of their life in ashrams, homes for senior citizens, or destitute cottages, forgetting that what they need is love, care & concern. It's sad that such incidents do happen in our so-called civilized society which cannot be controlled and is growing exponentially day by day, thereby burdening the existing Old age homes. Snehalaya Shanti Dham Joseph and his team found several such senior citizens on the streets, who were once in very good positions, having well-established, settled children but unconcerned towards their parents. Therefore a home for the senior citizens to give them a happy evening of their life was established and aptly named Snehalaya Shanti Dham - Home for the Old Age. Snehalaya offers these senior citizens a decent standard of living and allows them to live their life to the fullest providing all the care and assistance needed in their final years.
