Harish Shetty reunited with his family after 15 years in Udupi
On March 21, 2024, Prakash Shetty, approximately 45 years old, was found wandering the streets near Kulai, Mangalore. He was rescued by Bro Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, along with his team and with the support of Mr. Hadley Pinto, a well-wisher of Snehalaya.
Prakash was taken under care and treatment at the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for Men. The Snehalaya team worked diligently during their counseling sessions to locate his whereabouts. As a result of their efforts, his address was traced, leading to his reunion with his brother in Udupi district of Karnataka on April 24, 2024.
Prakash has a mother and five siblings, including two sisters and one brother. His mother and two of his siblings are settled in Mumbai, while another brother who works nearby in Udupi has promised to take care of him. According to them, Prakash's real name is Harish Shetty, and he had been missing for the past 15 years.
His brother expressed gratitude towards Snehalaya for their selfless service in reuniting Harish with his family.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 21.03.2024ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕುಳಾಯಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಕ್ಕು ತೋಚದೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 45ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಹಿತೈಷಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಹ್ಯಾಡ್ಲಿ ಪಿಂಟೊರವರು ನೀಡಿದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತಂಡ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಅವಿರತ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 24.04.2024ರಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆತನ ಸಹೋದರನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಆತನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತನ ನಿಜ ಹೆಸರು ಹರೀಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ. ಆತನ ಕಳೆದ ಹದಿನೈದು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ.ಹರೀಶ್ ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸಹೋದರಿಯರು, ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಹೋದರ ಹಾಗು ತಾಯಿ ಮುಂಬೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಆತನ ಸಹೋದರ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕ್ರತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
