MD Zakir reunited with his family in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
In a compassionate move by Snehalaya, Mr. Zakir, who had been missing for five agonizing months due to mental illness, has been successfully reunited with his family. The reunion, undertaken by Snehalaya Charitable Trust Kasaragod and Shraddha Mumbai, brought immense joy and relief to Zakir's loved ones.
Zakir, a tailor by profession, had been battling mental illness for the past two decades. Despite undergoing treatment at Indore Hospital for four years, his condition persisted, leading to unfortunate consequences in his personal life. His wife, unable to cope with the challenges posed by his illness, divorced him, while his brothers, overwhelmed by their own responsibilities, were unable to provide the care he needed.
However, amidst these trials, Zakir found solace in the unwavering support of his sister, with whom he now resides. The emotional reunion, which took place on March 30, 2024 at Indore Madhya Pradesh, marked the end of a harrowing journey for Zakir and his family.
The successful reunion of Zakir lights up the hope of all those wandering lives who need help and collective effort in overcoming adversity. As Zakir embarks on this new chapter surrounded by the love and care of his family, it serves as a reminder that no one should face mental illness alone, and that together, we can build a more supportive and happy society.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 15.02.2024 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪಡೀಲ್ ಬಳಿಯ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಕ್ಕುದಿಸೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಅಖೀರ್ ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಹಿತೈಷಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕಾರ್ಕಳ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹಿಲ್ಡಾ ಲೋಬೋ ನಾಗೋರಿ ಅವರು ನೀಡಿದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಂತೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಆತನ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಆತನ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 30.03.2024ರಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಇಂದೋರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಆತನ ಸಹೋದರಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತನ ನಿಜ ಹೆಸರು ಎಂ.ಡಿ ಜಾಕಿರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ ಕಳೆದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ. ಟೈಲರ್ ಆಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಅಖೀರ್ ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೇಳದೆ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ.
ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆದು ಭಾವುಕಳಾದ ಆತನ ಸಹೋದರಿ ಈ ಪುಣ್ಯಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
