On April 21, 2024, a 68-year-old man named Robert Monthero, dressed shabbily with poor hygiene, was found wandering the streets of Mangalore city. He speaks Tulu, Kannada, and Malayalam. He was brought to Snehalaya by one of the trustees, Mr. Prakash Pinto. According to Mr. Monthero, his late father was Louvis Monthero, and his mother was named Mary Monthero.
